What Did You Learn From Mom?

My mother was pretty easy going about lots of things, but manners? Not so much. Words like “please” and “thank you” seemed to be etched into my sister’s and my vocabulary before we knew how to spell our own names. I’m not sure how she did it, but it’s still very much who I am today. I also learned that education wasn’t an option, reading is fun, rearranging the furniture every six-months is natural, experimenting with hair color is fine (it will usually grow out…) and having soup and a sandwich for breakfast is a great way to start off the day.
As you grow a little older, you start to realize that other kids seem to learn different things from their moms. Sometimes good, sometimes weird. What did you learn from your mom that you appreciate today? Tell us here or even better, post them as your Thankfulfor posts today.
Remember, any posts about moms that you post before May 9th, 2010 enter you into our prize give-away and you’ll also be eligible to have your post published in our special Thankfulfor Moms ebook.
My mom also taught me that sharing makes us happier. I’m happier for having shared all this already. Now go post - what did you learn from your mom that you appreciate today?
