Gratitude in Challenging Times

The best strategy I know for overcoming what life throws at you is to be grateful. Even in the most difficult, painful, scary, lonely, unfair, or heart wrenching circumstances, gratitude will help you make sense of it all.

What I’ve found as I’ve worked with enormously successful people is that they too have miserable days but it is how they respond to them that makes them champions. Gratitude is one of their daily expressions.

I found these to be very inspirational words, written by Success Coach Ann Vertel. In her article she offers specific guidance on how to take a terrible situation and look at it differently. Read the rest of her short but poignant article here.

Many people are facing huge challenges today - maybe you are too. So, as you think about posting your 3-5 messages on Thankfulfor today, think about what is good in your life right now, what good could come out of the challenging situation you are in, and what are you learning from all of it? If your initial response is negative (which is natural!) gently let those thoughts pass and stay focused on finding your positive voice. It’s in there somewhere.
